69th Australasian Grain Science Conference
“Grains: A Global Food Resource”

On behalf of the conference organising committee, I encourage you to join us in Melbourne for the 69th Australasian Grains Science Association conference. The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Grains: A Global Food Resource’ and this year’s conference will address issues across entire value-chain.
This year’s themes include;
- Exploiting the value of Grains
- Grains Science and Innovations
- Grains Industry Forum
- Sustainable Futures and Climate Change
- Nutrition/ Health Benefits
- Functionality leading to better products
- Feeding the World with Quality Grain
The scientific program committee is currently finalising key-note speakers for each session. These updates will be continually added to the conference web-page.

AGSA encourages student participation and students are encouraged to apply for the AGSA travel awards. Refer to links on the web-site.
This year the poster-paper presenters will have an opportunity to participate in a 2-minute rapid-fire oral presentation prior to the formal poster paper session. Details will be on the website soon.

I will be providing regular updates leading up to the conference and I’m looking forward to seeing you in Melbourne. The hotel venue is in cosmopolitan Carlton and only a 10-minute walk from the CBD.
