Dr. Joe Panozzo is a research scientist with Agriculture Victoria based in Horsham and is the program leader for the Grains and Forage Chemistry Laboratory. Joe undertook a PhD investigating the environmental effects on wheat quality concentrating on the effects of high temperature during grain filling and the effect on protein composition. Joe’s research interests are in all aspects of grain science having worked on wheat, barley, canola and pulses and his current projects are associated with the application of non-destructive technologies such as image analysis and NIR for determining quality traits. In 2015, Joe was the recipient of the prestigious Farrer memorial medal.
